Afternoon Tea for 1

Enjoy and indulge in one of the best afternoon teas in London, in the relaxing and stylish surroundings of the Athenaeum. Afternoon Tea consists of loose leaf tea, a selection of finger sandwiches, home baked scones, jam & clotted cream, as well as a choice of freshly baked cakes from the trolley.

Afternoon Tea is served daily in three sittings: 12.30pm; 3.00pm; and 5.30pm.

Gentleman's Anytime Afternoon Tea for 1

The tradition of afternoon tea began in the nineteenth century, created by the Duchess of Bedford for a mainly female audience. Our Gentleman’s afternoon tea draws on the traditions of the club house and appeals to those with a love for tea with less of sweet tooth.

Featuring traditional English savouries such as wild boar sausage rolls, miniature steak and ale pies and warm, wookey hole cheddar and bacon scones –accompanied by single malt scotch – this special menu will delight men and women alike.
